Nikon D800 Flash
Nikon D800 Flash - SB900
I have 3 SB-800S shoot weddings. So far none of SB-800S have left in me. Which are real load. I bought the SB-900 because I like the ease of changing from being a flash in order to regulate the control of a master in a short film. If you use this feature much, it may be worth it to get the SB900. $ 130 difference for me depends on how fast you use that feature. At a wedding, which could create some distance with their lights nikon speedlights another … and create a nice lighting. But at some point you want to convert these remote power on / off and is a real hassle to do with the Sb800. Now, it takes less than the second … which is essential in a wedding environment.
I have read other comments about how their 900S overheated and shut down. Not experience for 2 weddings I shot recently. However, since I have a new D700 shot at ISO 400 – 800, probably not working hard 900. In general, the flash seems to be working well, and apart from its size, i like it.
Negatives: The controls takes a little getting used to flash and the case is a bit too long.
