Nokia 6303 Classic Review

Nokia 6303 Classic comes with candybar design, metal and plastic composite materials. The design is slightly curved to the inside. It features TFT 16 million colors screen, so it’s sharp enough to display high quality photos. Volume button is on the right side of the phone, and power button is on the left. Separate port for charger and headset makes it a bit complicated with lots of cables. MicroSD memory card slot is also included to the casing to store your precious data.

Nokia 6303 Classic In-Depth Review

The built-in camera is powered with 3.2 megapixel lens. I’ve got to tell you, this camera performance is quite fast and very responsive. To reduce noise grain in low light condition, the camera also equipped with light flash. This phone doesn’t have camera key shortcut, so you must go to Media Camera to activate it. There are some nice application to lighten the image you capture, such as Autofocus, Brightness, White Balance, Effect, Timer, Night Mode, Landscape, etc. The camera can be used to record video with 15fps. Not high enough but can be used to share video with others via internet. The video produced has VGA resolution (640×480 pixels), makes this video display look sharp on the camera.

The 6303 comes with Stereo Widening Equalizer with 5 presets: Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical and custom preset are available. The drawback on the music player is the sound produced from the phone is not louder enough. The headset must be inserted first before you can use FM radio.

No internal GPS is included, but the phone is bundled with a digital map application: Nokia Map. The application is included in the 1 GB MicroSD card as a bonus. If you want to use the GPS feature, you must connect it first with external GPS receiver.

Internet connection is provided with GPRS and EDGE. Although slow, it is easy enough to browse, because it also bundles with Nokia Web Browser and Opera Mini to browse websites and check for emails. Hey, it can also be used to update your status on Twitter or Facebook.

Transferring data is easy enough. Nokia 6303 use USB and Bluetooth with A2DP capabilities, so that you can connect it to Bluetooth Headset and answer calls or even listen to songs.
